Job description
Role overview
Flutter UK & Ireland is looking for a Brand Designer to shape the visual presence of one of its major betting brands across product, campaigns, motion, social, and wider brand communications. The role sits in a small Brand Design team where each designer focuses on a single brand, helping ensure every touchpoint feels consistent, distinctive, and crafted with care.
You will be working in a role that values strong visual standards, brand thinking, and growth across both digital product and marketing environments.
What you will do
- Develop and refine clear visual directions that make each brand instantly recognisable and clearly separate from the others.
- Safeguard each brand’s personality, tone, and positioning across all outputs.
- Spot and stop any drift that could cause brand identities to blur together across products and channels.
- Translate brand strategy into practical, visually distinctive design choices.
- Set the rules and principles for how brand identity should appear within digital interfaces and in-app experiences.
- Create actionable guidance for Product Designers that is specific, opinionated, and grounded in the brand’s visual language.
- Work closely with Product Design to ensure brand expression is embedded into interfaces without hurting usability.
- Serve as a link between Brand, Commercial, Studio, and Product teams so brand expression stays aligned across the business.
- Coordinate with Content Designers so visual language and tone of voice reinforce each other.
- Partner with Design Systems teams to build brand expression into scalable, reusable components.
- Balance shared design foundations with brand-specific elements in a thoughtful way.
- Help roll out brand updates efficiently and consistently across platforms.
- Contribute to and review high-impact design work spanning product, campaigns, and brand messaging.
- Maintain a very high standard for craft, detail, and consistency, and raise that standard through critique and review.
- Act as a final quality check for brand alignment across team output.
What you will bring
- A portfolio showing brand systems applied across multiple touchpoints such as digital products, campaigns, motion, and related work.
- Excellent visual judgement with strong attention to typography, layout, colour, and composition.
- Some experience collaborating across Brand, Marketing/Commercial, and Studio functions.
- Comfort using Figma and other collaborative design tools.
- A receptive attitude toward feedback and a collaborative working style.
Preferred background
- Experience creating brand work in both product and campaign settings.
- Exposure to online gaming, sports betting, or entertainment environments.
- Understanding of AI-assisted design tools.
- Interest in, or hands-on experience with, motion design or animation.
- Familiarity with design systems or component-based design thinking.
What matters most in this team
- A strong appreciation for craft and a drive to keep improving.
- Curiosity about branding, the industry, and how design influences perception.
- A team-first mindset, with comfort sharing work early and responding well to critique.
- Attention to detail while still keeping the bigger picture in view.
- Belief that effective brands are both consistent and clearly differentiated.
- Energy for cross-disciplinary teamwork and learning from others.
Benefits
- Flexible working arrangements, with the option to work from home or the office.
- £1,000 learning fund.
- Twice-yearly bonus, with part of the bonus guaranteed.
- Pension contribution scheme.
- Private healthcare.
- Access to thousands of Udemy courses.
- Company Sharesave Scheme.
- 16 hours of paid volunteering time each year.
- Unlimited holiday.
