Job description
Role overview
You will shape how one of Flutter UK & Ireland’s major betting and gaming brands appears across digital products, marketing campaigns, motion, and social channels. The role sits in a focused Brand Design team where each designer owns a single brand, with an emphasis on making that brand feel unmistakable, consistent, and crafted to a high standard.
This position suits a designer who cares deeply about visual quality, wants to explore brand at a more strategic level, and is keen to build experience across both product and marketing environments.
Brand identity and differentiation
- Create and refine distinct visual worlds for the brand so it stands apart clearly from sister brands.
- Safeguard the brand’s personality, voice, and positioning across every deliverable.
- Spot and stop visual overlap between brands and touchpoints before it becomes a problem.
- Translate brand strategy into clear, usable design direction.
Brand expression in product
- Set out principles and boundaries for how brand identity should appear in digital interfaces and in-app experiences.
- Produce practical guidance that product designers can use to apply brand consistently in UI.
- Work closely with product design teams so the brand is expressed well without harming usability.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Connect Brand, Commercial, Studio, and Product teams so visual expression stays aligned end to end.
- Work alongside content designers to ensure visual language and tone of voice reinforce each other.
Systems, scale, and execution
- Collaborate with design systems teams to build brand expression into scalable, reusable components.
- Balance shared foundations with brand-specific elements in a thoughtful way.
- Help ensure changes can be deployed efficiently and consistently across platforms.
- Review and contribute to high-impact work across product, campaigns, and brand communications.
- Maintain a strong standard for craft, detail, and consistency, and raise the bar through critique and review.
What the team is looking for
A portfolio showing brand systems applied across several touchpoints, including digital, campaign, motion, and related work. Strong typographic judgement, careful layout skills, sound colour use, and polished visual composition are important. The role also calls for some experience working with Brand, Marketing/Commercial, and Studio teams, along with confidence using Figma and other collaborative design tools. You should be open to feedback and comfortable working in a highly collaborative way.
Desirable background
- Experience working on brand projects in both product and campaign settings.
- Exposure to online gaming, sports betting, or entertainment.
- Some familiarity with AI-assisted design tools.
- Interest in motion design or animation.
- Awareness of design systems or component-based design thinking.
Values and working style
- Enjoys craft and is motivated to keep improving.
- Curious about branding, the industry, and the influence of design on perception.
- Comfortable sharing work early and receiving feedback constructively.
- Balances attention to detail with awareness of the bigger picture.
- Believes strong brands should be both consistent and clearly differentiated.
- Likes working across disciplines and learning from others.
Benefits
- Flexible working options, with the choice to work from home or the office.
- £1,000 learning fund.
- Twice-yearly bonus, with part of it guaranteed.
- Pension contribution scheme.
- Private healthcare.
- Access to thousands of Udemy courses.
- Option to invest through the Company Sharesave Scheme.
- 16 hours of paid volunteering time each year.
- Unlimited holiday.
