Detailer (Flat Rate) - Gainesville, FL

About the Role

This is a flat-rate detail shop opportunity in Gainesville, Florida. The position is suited to someone who works well with others, delivers strong customer service, and stays productive in a busy, fast-moving environment.

The hiring team is looking for two levels of detail specialists: one with some prior experience, and another with more advanced experience of 2+ years.

What You’ll Do

You will help keep the facility operating at a high standard while ensuring customers receive timely, courteous service and quality results. The role includes driving, detailing, and cleaning vehicles as part of day-to-day operations.

The company operates reconditioning and detail centers inside auto dealerships across the United States and emphasizes a team-driven, entrepreneurial culture where employees contribute directly to success.

Typical work includes washing vehicle exteriors with approved cleaning products, waxing and buffing surfaces, vacuuming interiors, cleaning upholstery and other surfaces, using air tools and cloths to dry vehicles, and applying protective treatments to help guard against stains and spots. Depending on the vehicle, you may also work with dyes, paints, waxes, and engine or engine-compartment cleaning.

Additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs, and flexibility is expected.

Working Conditions

• This role is physically active and involves repeated bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and entering and exiting vehicles throughout the shift.
• Some tasks may need to be completed outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• You will move and handle many vehicles over the course of the workday.
• Safe, OSHA-approved products are used, including window cleaner, tar remover, and tire shine.
• The job requires frequent movement of the spine, hands, wrists, and fingers.
• You may need to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Instructions and work details are often received verbally, so attentive listening is important.
• You must be able to see small flaws such as streaks, missed spots, or smudges, and hear clearly.
• You are expected to inspect your own work and also review the work of teammates when needed.
• A strong sense of urgency is required to respect customers’ time.
• Strict compliance with uniform and grooming standards is mandatory.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean or good driving record.
• Ability to learn tasks quickly.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Able to read and understand instructions.
• Careful attitude toward customers’ personal vehicles.
• Reliable attendance and ability to stay focused while on duty.
• Capable of driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Available to work weekends, including Saturday or Sunday, and holidays when production demands require it.
• Willing to arrive on time and remain on task throughout the shift.
• Must pass drug and background screening; this is a drug-free workplace.
