About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Despatch Clerk to become part of our warehouse operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Distribution Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient despatch office workflow, managing distribution responsibilities, and providing outstanding customer support.
This position is ideal for an individual who excels in a dynamic environment and enjoys coordinating communication throughout the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee daily distribution and delivery timetables.
- Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries promptly.
- Maintain precise warehouse records and handle administrative duties efficiently.
- Manage filing and distribution of essential paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with carriers and arrange courier services.
- Deliver high-quality customer service consistently.
- Verify transport and freight invoices along with delivery documents.
- Assist drivers with freight paperwork completion.
- Implement cancellation procedures and coordinate with the National Customer Service Centre.
- Monitor inventory levels of stationery and consumables for the warehouse.
- Handle proof-of-delivery documentation processes.
- Manage delivery and coordination of OE fitment stock such as tyres and rims.
- Support monthly stocktake activities and maintain accurate dispatch logs.
- Coordinate returns in accordance with the Goods Return Policy.
- Process returned tyres for customer credits.
- Manage warranty tyre returns for technical inspections by field services.
About You
- Possess strong organisational and clerical capabilities.
- Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confident in liaising with carriers, drivers, and internal departments.
- Have keen attention to detail and maintain high accuracy.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
