About the Role
Are you ready to leave the traditional workshop environment and embrace the challenge of managing a mobile automotive service team across Sydney? As Area Manager, you will oversee a dynamic team that delivers automotive repairs and maintenance directly at customers' locations. This position offers the chance to operate a fully mobile service with the support and resources of Bridgestone Australia, while maintaining significant autonomy over your zone.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for the P&L performance of the Sydney zone, including sales, profitability, parts and labour margins, and overall productivity.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team consisting of mobile mechanics, workshop technicians, and trainers.
- Coordinate job scheduling and resource allocation across both mobile and workshop segments to ensure timely customer service and efficient operations.
- Manage recruitment, training programs, and performance evaluations within your team.
- Handle customer relationships and resolve escalated issues calmly and proactively.
- Oversee fleet management, equipment maintenance, and maintain high standards across sites to ensure safety, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Promote a strong safety culture aligned with Bridgestone’s policies and standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a relevant trade qualification or demonstrable extensive experience within the automotive industry.
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing teams operating in both mobile/outdoor and workshop settings.
- Competent in managing commercial metrics and translating data insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop authentic relationships with technicians, customers, and business stakeholders.
- Hold a valid full and clean driver’s license.
