Role overview
This position is for a Deputy Store Manager in Delhi, supporting store leadership in driving daily operations, commercial performance, and team execution within a fashion retail environment.
What you will do
- Identify and progress new business initiatives, then track them through to completion.
- Set broad guidelines for how in-store processes should be organized and run.
- Carry out operational store reviews to help simplify and improve workflows in coordination with the relevant manager.
- Assist the operations manager and the wider team when challenges arise.
- Make sure health and safety standards are followed correctly.
- Take part in operational discussions and communicate goals to the team in regular meetings.
- Prepare sales and staffing-hour forecasts based on company requirements.
- Suggest improvements to store layout and fixtures, including furniture, fitting rooms, stockroom, and break areas.
- Monitor key performance indicators and recommend action plans to improve results and meet targets.
Skills and working style
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, curious, energetic, and able to bring a fresh perspective. The role calls for someone who is careful with details, creative, proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a fashion-led environment. Experience and qualifications
You should have strong knowledge of fashion and merchandising, plus experience in market research. The role requires more than 2 years of managerial experience in fashion retail, familiarity with MS Office systems, and preferably higher education with fluent English.
Reporting structure
This role reports to the Store Manager. It works closely with the wider store leadership group, including product, operations, customer experience, and in-store HR where applicable, as well as regional teams across product, visual merchandising, image, operations, HR, GS, IT, and related functions.
