About the Role
Sobeys Inc. is hiring a Deli Clerk for its Cloverdale/Quadra Store in Victoria, British Columbia. This position is part of a large Canadian retail network known for serving communities across the country. In this role, you will help create a positive shopping experience by delivering accurate, timely, and courteous service while supporting store operations in the deli department.
Key Duties
- Follow all food safety rules, standard operating procedures, health and safety guidelines, and company policies and programs.
- Assist customers and handle deli orders to ensure their needs are met.
- Keep the work area tidy, organized, and visually appealing.
- Prepare and process deli products as needed.
- Support merchandising and program execution for deli items.
- Help drive sales by promoting products to shoppers.
- Assist in training newer team members when required.
- Order and receive inventory according to company control procedures, where needed.
- Monitor and process department shrink.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in line with company standards.
- Take on other related duties as assigned.
