About the role

MaximaTek is looking for a meticulous Data Analyst who can oversee the collection, processing, and review of complex datasets. This position connects raw information with meaningful business insights, with a strong focus on accuracy, secure handling of data, and disciplined analytical practices.

What you will do

  • Manage day-to-day data work, including extracting, cleansing, and transforming data so it is ready for analysis and reporting.
  • Keep complete records of data sources and ensure sensitive information is handled in line with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, as well as internal standard operating procedures.
  • Check database records carefully to preserve data quality, consistency, and integrity across the full project lifecycle.
  • Track key performance indicators and quickly flag unusual patterns, major changes, or important trends to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, and support internal audits related to data governance and reporting compliance.
  • Act as the main contact for department leaders, converting business needs into clear technical data requirements.

Requirements

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative discipline. Candidates should have 0 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or academic research settings.

  • Strong SQL skills for querying and managing databases.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation ability.
  • Preference for candidates with data analytics certifications such as Google Data Analytics or Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
  • Understanding of automated reporting and basic machine learning concepts is preferred.
