Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a meticulous Supply Chain Specialist to support and coordinate the day-to-day flow of logistics and procurement work. This position connects suppliers, internal manufacturing teams, and distribution partners to keep operations running efficiently, economically, and in line with strict quality and safety expectations.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle routine supply chain activities such as purchasing support, stock monitoring, order processing, and shipment coordination.
- Keep shipping and receiving records complete and accurate, while making sure logistics tasks follow customs rules, international trade requirements, and internal standard procedures.
- Enter and maintain data in ERP or warehouse management platforms with strong attention to accuracy and ALCOA+ data principles.
- Watch for supply chain delays, inefficiencies, and supplier issues, and escalate major disruptions or non-compliance to the appropriate teams.
- Prepare and update material specifications and support internal and external audits so that GxP and ISO standards are maintained.
- Act as the main contact for vendors and third-party logistics partners during reviews and audit-related activities.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
The role calls for 0 to 5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, warehouse operations, or a manufacturing setting.
Applicants should have a solid grasp of inventory control and lean six sigma concepts, along with working knowledge of supply chain software, ERP tools such as SAP or Oracle, and Excel.
Familiarity with global shipping paperwork and regulations, including Bills of Lading and Incoterms, is important. Strong technical writing ability and good organizational skills are also expected.
Preferred Background
CSCP (APICS) or CPSM (ISM) certification, or progress toward eligibility for one of these credentials, is an advantage.
Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical cold-chain logistics is preferred.
Knowledge of demand forecasting and data analytics will also be valuable.
