Role overview
We are looking for customer service professionals to join the Wellington team and support New Zealand customers on behalf of Rockgas. This role is suited to people who enjoy helping others, can stay calm under pressure, and are comfortable working across phone and email channels.
You will have access to detailed support material, structured training, and guidance from leaders so you can manage customer interactions effectively. The position involves a mix of service and administrative tasks, including opening new accounts, handling service requests, taking payments, responding to emergencies, and managing disconnection-related processes.
Working pattern
This opportunity is available as either permanent full-time or fixed-term employment, with flexible hours designed to fit around personal commitments. The role runs on a rotating roster.
Operating hours are:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (NZST and NZDT)
The expected start date is 14 July 2026.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service capability and a genuine commitment to creating positive customer experiences. Attention to detail, empathy, and the ability to listen actively are important, along with a collaborative approach to team work.
Good communication skills are essential for dealing with both customers and internal stakeholders. You should also be dependable, punctual, and able to work to KPIs. Intermediate computer literacy is required, including comfort using multiple screens at once and typing at around 30 words per minute.
Experience in financial services or similar work would be an advantage.
