Team Overview

The Retail Marketing & Strategy team supports sales teams and retail partners with strategic guidance that helps drive consumer engagement across both physical and digital retail channels. The team’s work centers on marketing planning, promotions, brand building, and commercial performance.

Role Overview

The Customer Marketing Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of retailer-focused marketing strategies and programs that support business growth and strengthen Nintendo’s presence across key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and run national marketing initiatives while also building tailored programs for individual retail accounts.
  • Work with sales leadership and retail partners to shape account plans covering in-store POP assets, advertising, promotions, merchandising, retailer ad placements, and retail.com activity.
  • Connect internal business priorities with each retailer’s goals to help guide sales and marketing execution and brand messaging.
  • Adapt and deploy marketing strategy for the assigned accounts.
  • Ensure retailer .com properties are kept current and aligned with Nintendo brand standards and guidelines.
  • Partner with the Retail Marketing team and outside agencies on artwork, merchandising, and other media needs.
  • Take ownership of tradeshow strategy and related execution plans.
  • Support campaign launch planning with Retail Marketing Managers for specific retail accounts.
  • Act as a cross-functional lead for account-specific programs and initiatives.
  • Manage the account marketing relationship and stay aligned with each retailer’s ongoing marketing strategy.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of both retail marketing and consumer marketing.
  • Strong presentation abilities, including presenting to senior retail executives.
  • Solid understanding of product promotion, brand management, and marketing collateral development.
  • Proficiency with standard PC tools, including Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.
  • Background in project management or account management, ideally with a large multi-channel retailer.
  • Experience using a wide range of marketing channels, including TV, radio, print, online, and interactive media, plus work with major retail accounts.
  • Demonstrated specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within the relevant job family or field.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Location and Work Arrangement

This role is based in Redmond, WA and follows a hybrid schedule. Regular onsite presence is required according to the division’s schedule and guidelines. Fully remote work is not available for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a base salary range of USD 120,900 to USD 217,650. It also includes the possibility of a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus and a benefits package featuring medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), and paid time off.
