Customer Engineer - SAP Specialization, Google Cloud

Acting as a technical liaison, you will assist sales teams by troubleshooting critical issues related to SAP workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your role includes collaborating with product marketing and engineering teams to remain informed of industry trends and contribute to the evolution of Google Cloud solutions.

As a Customer Engineer focused on SAP, you will play a pivotal role in enabling sales strategies, delivering tailored technical solutions, and driving innovative approaches in cloud adoption for SAP products. Engaging with customers, you'll facilitate digital transformation initiatives, identify market trends, and provide scalable solutions and assets that enhance customer success. Furthermore, this role involves educating partners and sales teams in positioning SAP on Google Cloud effectively, addressing technical challenges, and showcasing product advantages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to identify and validate business prospects and address key technical concerns through strategic planning.
• Maintain strong technical relationships with customers, orchestrating product presentations, proof-of-concept deployments, and coordinating support from product management and engineering teams.
• Guide technical evaluations during customer engagements concerning SAP solutions, managing briefings and demonstrations.
• Recommend and prototype SAP solutions on Google Cloud that adhere to established best practices within customer environments.
• Support the SAP Go-to-Market team by delivering regional field enablement and knowledge transfer initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• At least six years serving as a technical sales engineer in cloud computing or in customer-facing roles within professional services or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise with SAP technologies, including architectural and infrastructure requirements.
• Proficiency in English to effectively manage customer relationships.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Familiarity with cloud computing topics such as compute, storage, data analytics, and machine learning.
• Understanding of data management trends related to big data in business contexts.
• Knowledge of SAP cloud offerings including RISE with SAP S/4HANA on PCE, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SaaS products.
• Capacity to quickly assimilate emerging technologies and methodologies within cloud and IT sectors.
