Customer Delivery Driver at Tesco - Bournemouth

Role Overview

This position features delivering food and essentials directly to customers' homes. Serving as the visible representative of Tesco on the road, drivers ensure not only timely delivery but also exceptional customer interaction and service quality. The job involves active physical work and offers a dynamic environment since no two delivery shifts are identical.

Working Hours

Shifts run daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, including weekends, ensuring availability throughout every day of the week.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure each customer's items arrive in pristine condition.
• Perform all vehicle checks before departing to guarantee roadworthiness and reliability.
• Communicate politely and helpfully with customers regarding any order modifications, substitutions, or items nearing expiry, while managing refunds to maintain satisfaction.
• Handle all products with care, treating each order as your own to uphold quality standards and build customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within committed time slots, providing warm and courteous service that leaves customers feeling appreciated.

Required Qualifications and Traits

• Possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least one year, with a clean record (maximum three penalty points).
• Be personable and friendly with customers and team members, fostering positive relationships that enhance team morale and customer experience.
• Adapt swiftly to changing customer requirements and embrace flexibility during deliveries and store interactions.
