Cafe Team Member

About the Role

As a Cafe Team Member, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily experience of our customers. This position involves food preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the day. Flexibility in working hours and opportunities for career progression are key features of this role. The minimum guaranteed working hours are eight per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Providing fast, efficient, and courteous service to customers.
• Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene guidelines and keeping daily records.
• Implementing first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to ensure freshness of food items.
• Handling deliveries and ensuring proper and safe storage of food products.
• Following all operational policies and procedures set by the café.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food items in accordance with the café menu standards.
• Ensuring consistent availability and quality of café food products.
• Being knowledgeable about the café menu and delivering food as intended.
• Addressing customer complaints tactfully and reporting them to the Café Manager.
• Keeping informed about internal business communications and new initiatives.
• Cleaning and sanitizing tables to maintain a hygienic environment.
