Overview

City Vets in Waterford, a busy small animal veterinary practice located in the heart of the city, is seeking a personable, organized, and client-centered Customer Care Receptionist to join their reception team. The team comprises four veterinary surgeons, four veterinary nurses, and one receptionist, all dedicated to providing exceptional care for both patients and clients.

Role Description

This part-time role involves acting as the initial point of contact for all visitors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome. The job is diverse and dynamic, requiring management of client and pet appointments via the Merlin practice management system, handling phone and email inquiries, processing payments with end-of-day cash reconciliation, maintaining stock levels, assisting with deliveries, supporting general administrative duties, upholding high standards in the practice environment, and developing product knowledge to assist clients effectively.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, works well with people, remains composed under pressure, and possesses previous experience in reception, customer service, or administration. Experience within a veterinary environment or with animals is a significant advantage. Additionally, the candidate should have strong computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for providing superior customer service.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position with a schedule of three days per week, Monday to Wednesday, from 9 am to 6 pm. There are no weekend shifts or out-of-hours duties.

Compensation
