Role overview
Ford Motor Company is looking for a Contract Recruiter to join its Talent Acquisition organization and help identify, attract, hire, and retain high-caliber talent. This role supports the development of a strong, inclusive culture and contributes to building teams that can deliver ambitious business goals.
The position sits within Ford’s Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) group, a customer-focused, entrepreneurial, and data-led team working toward an all-electric future. The team is focused on creating an outstanding experience for electric vehicle customers and owners while operating with speed, collaboration, and precision.
Ford’s mission centers on advancing human progress through mobility, and this opportunity is part of that broader effort to shape the future of transportation.
Key responsibilities
- Run intake discussions with hiring managers to clarify hiring needs and align job requirements with the ideal candidate profile.
- Proactively search for passive talent through tailored outreach and persistent follow-up.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts both within the company and in external hiring efforts.
- Carry out early-stage phone screens to evaluate candidate fit for open roles.
- Find strong active and passive candidates using a range of sourcing methods such as networking, search platforms, job boards, referrals, and recruiting events.
- Work with hiring managers on offer discussions and help close highly sought-after technical candidates in a competitive hiring environment.
- Monitor pipeline progress, keep records accurate, and share data-driven status updates with internal partners.
- Build productive working relationships with stakeholders across Recruiting, HR, Compensation, Diversity, and other internal teams.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and related strategy projects.
- Take ownership of the candidate journey from first contact through offer acceptance.
Required qualifications
- At least 5 years of recruiting experience, with an understanding of how hiring impacts inclusion and diversity.
- Strong background in full-cycle recruiting.
- Experience handling difficult-to-fill roles in a competitive market.
- Exposure to or experience recruiting across global markets.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to identify solutions and create impact independently.
- Curiosity to research market trends, business context, and technical domains beyond the basic job profile.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and career growth.
Compensation and other details
This is a leadership level 6 position with an hourly rate of $70 to $80 per hour. The final pay rate will depend on the selected candidate’s experience, skills, role scope, and the market value of the position.
