Job description

Role summary

This is a full-time remote opportunity for a Community Manager. The role is focused on building and maintaining a healthy, welcoming, and interactive online space while supporting users across community channels. The work spans community moderation and customer support in areas such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee online communities to keep discussions safe, respectful, and inclusive, while stepping in quickly to resolve issues and answer member questions.
  • Respond to customer concerns and queries with empathy and professionalism, using calm communication to reduce tension and prevent conflicts from escalating.
  • Create and improve engagement approaches that encourage active participation and a lively community experience.
  • Work closely with internal teams to share community feedback, highlight recurring issues, and help shape better member experiences.
  • Handle multiple conversations and tasks efficiently in a remote setup, maintaining clear and friendly communication in both written and verbal formats.
  • Support a positive experience for all community members by adjusting to changing needs and collaborating across teams as required.

Skills and experience needed

  • Background in customer support and online community moderation.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation capabilities.
  • Self-driven mindset with initiative and energy in a fast-moving remote environment.
  • Good time management and multitasking ability under pressure.
  • Close attention to detail and a willingness to go beyond the basics to help the community.
