Job description
Position Summary
This role sits within the Commercial Strategy and Business Development team for the Americas. The associate will work closely with the Director of Commercial Strategy & Business Development, commercial leadership, sales teams, and other internal partners to support planning, performance tracking, business development work, and decision-making. The position calls for someone who is highly structured, comfortable working with data, and able to turn analysis into clear reports and presentations that help drive business growth.
Commercial Reporting & Data Analysis
- Compile, organize, maintain, and share recurring reporting on sales, distribution, assortment, sell-in, sell-out, and door-level results.
- Review performance across brands, channels, regions, accounts, and doors, and flag trends, opportunities, and data issues.
- Keep the active door universe current, including openings, closures, segmentation changes, and key account status updates.
- Monitor KPIs such as sales productivity, assortment adoption, replenishment performance, and launch or collection rollout execution.
- Create reports and analysis that support leadership reviews, forecasting conversations, business planning, and commercial meetings.
- Keep reporting clean, accurate, well-structured, and consistently refreshed for leadership use.
- Bring risks, opportunities, and important findings to Commercial Strategy leadership when needed.
Business Development Support
- Help prepare materials for new account opportunities, door expansion efforts, account reviews, and strategic initiatives.
- Collect and structure commercial, distribution, and market information to assess target accounts, whitespace, and market potential.
- Assist with business case development by gathering details on sales potential, brand alignment, past performance, and required investment.
- Track key initiatives, deadlines, action items, and follow-ups to keep progress visible and accountable.
- Support leadership preparation for strategic buying meetings, trade shows, account presentations, and internal business reviews.
Distribution & Account Tracking
- Maintain distribution files, segmentation tools, account trackers, and reporting databases.
- Evaluate distribution by Maison, channel, region, and customer type to identify gaps and growth opportunities.
- Help identify underserved territories, inactive doors, productivity improvements, and expansion potential.
- Prepare distribution summaries and related materials for leadership review and decision-making.
- Work with Sales and other internal stakeholders to collect updates on account performance, distribution shifts, and new opportunities.
Brand, Product & Market Support
- Support analysis of product performance by brand, account, channel, and region.
- Collect assortment, pricing, competitive, and market intelligence to inform commercial planning.
- Track performance of new collections, replenishment opportunities, best-selling items, and assortment gaps.
- Organize market feedback and present it in a clear, actionable way for HQ and Brand Management teams.
Presentation & Administrative Support
- Build Excel reports, PowerPoint decks, meeting recaps, and executive-ready business materials.
- Structure information into concise, polished, and visually strong formats for leadership audiences.
- Keep project trackers, timelines, follow-up documents, and shared team resources up to date.
- Handle ad hoc analysis, special assignments, and cross-functional support as required.
Profile
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Fashion Merchandising, or a related discipline, and brings at least 3 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, commercial planning, merchandising, retail, luxury goods, consumer products, or a similar area. Strong Excel capability is essential, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data handling, reporting, and analytical functions. Excellent PowerPoint skills are also needed to create polished, executive-level presentations. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, SAP, ERP systems, or comparable reporting tools is an advantage. The role requires a strong analytical approach, the ability to translate data into practical insights, excellent organization, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, and leadership teams. Success in this position also depends on managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment, along with curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in fashion, luxury, retail, eyewear, or consumer goods.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000, depending on relevant skills and experience. In addition to base pay, the role offers performance-based incentives with meaningful additional earning potential.
