Job description
About Suntory Oceania
Suntory Oceania is a combined multi-beverage business formed by bringing together the strengths of Suntory across Australia and New Zealand. Backed by more than 1,500 people, five distribution centres, and two local manufacturing sites, the company manages a portfolio of 40 leading brands and focuses on creating new beverage experiences through innovation and craftsmanship.
Role overview
The Commercial Marketing Manager plays a key part in delivering top-tier performance for the partner brand portfolio. This position works closely with both external brand partners and internal brand teams, with exposure to well-known brands such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, UP&GO, Rockstar, and Gatorade.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the financial performance of the partner brand portfolio and support profitable growth.
- Coordinate the delivery of joint business planning for partner brands and track key commitments.
- Take the lead on contract discussions and make sure internal teams meet agreed contractual obligations.
- Handle daily communication and reporting with brand partners.
- Assist with and drive innovation as well as new product development initiatives.
What you will bring
The ideal candidate will have a strong FMCG background and understand the demands of managing a portfolio and building brands profitably. Experience in sales, marketing, or finance is relevant, and candidates may have worked as a brand manager with full P&L ownership, a business manager, or in commercial management.
You should be confident working with internal and external stakeholders, comfortable using financial levers across the P&L, and able to turn data into a compelling story for varied audiences. Strong presentation skills at senior level and proven negotiation ability are also important.
Benefits and workplace culture
- Opportunities to advance your career through internal promotion and global learning and development.
- The chance to help shape transformation and innovation in a modern operating model.
- A generous incentive scheme for permanent staff.
- Inclusive parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
- Birthday leave so you can take your birthday off.
- Support for a gradual return to work after parental leave.
- A culture that promotes diversity, collaboration, and personal growth.
- Flexible working arrangements, including flexible hours and hybrid working.
- Volunteer leave to support community contribution.
Diversity, equity and inclusion
Suntory values a workplace where different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds strengthen the organisation. The company is committed to an environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive, where people can show up as themselves regardless of protected characteristics. Recruitment is designed to recognise each candidate’s unique skills and experience, and reasonable accommodations can be provided during the interview process. The organisation welcomes applicants whose backgrounds and career paths may be non-traditional if they can contribute to the team’s success and support the mission of Growing for Good.
