Role Summary

Dexterra is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner for its Military Base location in Kingston. The position is focused on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the facility. Day shift work is currently available, and the hourly pay is $18.

Key Duties

• Clean and sanitize areas such as medical spaces, offices, classrooms, washrooms, conference rooms, hallways, and fitness rooms.
• Handle urgent calls using a radio or pager when needed.
• Escalate incidents, issues, and maintenance gaps to the management team.
• Dust furniture and other surfaces, including work done at floor level.
• Wipe walls, partitions, light switches, doors, and window ledges as required.
• Polish chrome and other shiny metal finishes.
• Disinfect washroom fixtures using gentle cleaning products.
• Wet mop small hard-surface areas.
• Complete all required health and safety training and use PPE wherever needed.

Candidate Profile

This role is open to applicants with commercial cleaning experience, though prior experience is not mandatory and will be considered an advantage. Because the work takes place on a military base, the selected candidate must obtain fingerprint security clearance. A clean criminal record is required, along with two pieces of government-issued identification, including one photo ID.
