Job description

Role Overview

Apleona Ireland is hiring full-time GMP Cleaners to support its Longford sites in County Longford, Ireland. The role is site-based and involves carrying out cleaning tasks in line with GMP standards, local procedures, and supervisor guidance.

Working Pattern

The shift pattern is Monday to Sunday, with Monday to Friday hours from 05:00 to 09:00.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out GMP cleaning in accordance with site requirements and under the direction of the cleaning supervisor.
  • Use cleaning tools and materials correctly by following COSHH information and operating instructions.
  • Work strictly to site rules and Apleona procedures at all times.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Make sure cleaning activity does not create risks to employees or visitors.
  • Maintain logbooks and complete all required records promptly, following site guidance and SOPs.
  • Coordinate, plan, and complete cleaning tasks with the supervisor in GMP and other designated areas.
  • Escalate any damage to the building fabric, health and safety concerns, or defects to the supervisor without delay.
  • Check equipment before use, and report any faults or servicing needs immediately.
  • Stay alert to security concerns and report anything suspicious.
  • Take part in any training needed for the role.
  • Follow the required gowning process as set out in site SOPs.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times.
  • Work with a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and commitment to high standards.
  • Act in a way that reflects care for the environment and wider society.
  • Keep stock rooms organised, safe, and tidy, while avoiding unnecessary waste.
