Role overview
Apleona Ireland is hiring part-time cleaning staff for its Collooney, County Sligo location. The position is based on site and is suited to someone who can work a short weekday evening shift.
Working pattern
The shift schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 17:30 to 19:00, giving a total of 12.5 hours per week.
Key duties
- Vacuum carpets and mop or buff floors.
- Clean washrooms and polish glass and brass surfaces.
- Collect waste and ensure it is removed appropriately.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH safety guidance.
- Place safety signs where cleaning is in progress.
- Raise any defects or safety concerns without delay.
- Stay alert to security matters and report anything unusual.
- Take part in role-related training when required.
- Support other tasks as needed to help the team.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and provide good customer service.
Experience and qualities
Candidates should have a solid work record. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and familiarity with cleaning equipment is also an advantage. A basic understanding of health and safety is important, along with good spoken and written English. The role calls for someone who can work on their own, manage priorities well, and remain flexible, trustworthy, and dependable.
