Cleaning Operative

Role Overview

The Cleaning Services Worker is responsible for keeping assigned spaces clean, safe, and presentable while supporting customer and client satisfaction. Duties may differ by Aramark location depending on the client’s needs and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean all allocated areas to a high standard.
• Use, maintain, and store cleaning equipment correctly.
• Carry out routine inspections of equipment and flag any faults or missing parts.
• Confirm that equipment is safe and functioning properly before use.
• Undertake periodic spring cleaning or deep-cleaning duties when required.
• Use the on-site washing machine for internal laundry tasks where applicable.
• Work in line with health and safety rules as well as fire procedures.
• Escalate any hazards to management without delay.
• Maintain required hygiene standards across the assigned area.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints according to company or site policy.
• Take part in training programmes aimed at improving performance.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action when needed.
• Follow any other reasonable instructions given by Aramark management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a comparable cleaning role.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Polite, professional, and courteous approach.
• Flexible attitude toward working hours and job duties.
