Job description
Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Liability Adjuster to handle claims across Dublin and the East Coast. The role is remote and field-based, centred in Dublin 12, and is well suited to a technically strong professional who wants to grow within a leading organisation.
What you will do
In this position, you will take ownership of a portfolio of liability claims, investigate them thoroughly, and prepare clear, high-quality reports that meet client expectations and service standards. You will also evaluate legal liability, policy liability, and quantum, while collecting and reviewing evidence to back up your recommendations. Throughout the process, you will be expected to maintain a strong customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Handle investigations for employers’, public, product, and motor liability claims
- Determine legal liability, policy liability, and claim quantum
- Prepare detailed reports that align with client service requirements
- Collect, review, and interpret evidence to support decisions on claims
- Maintain a consistently high level of customer service
- Work well as part of a team and also manage tasks independently
Experience and skills needed
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial background in liability claims and, preferably, prior experience in an external adjusting position. Professional insurance or adjusting qualifications such as APA or CIP, or an equivalent credential, are required or strongly preferred. You should be a confident communicator with solid negotiation and investigation abilities, capable of working to tight deadlines and performing well under pressure. Strong IT skills, a full driving licence, and a flexible approach to changing workloads are also important.
Package and working conditions
This opportunity offers a salary in the range of €40,000 to €65,000 depending on experience, along with an enhanced contributory pension, a performance-related bonus, flexible benefits, birthday leave, and a share purchase scheme. The standard working pattern is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility expected during busy periods or whenever service targets need to be met.
