Purpose

• Provide civil engineering services for Worley and its clients, offering technical support and supervision within the civil engineering team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accepted engineering and design standards, regulatory obligations, and client requirements.
• Deliver civil engineering services that satisfy Worley and client requirements, adhering to statutory and regulatory standards, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
• Conduct studies and analyses, proposing recommended actions.
• Apply engineering expertise to identify opportunities for problem-solving.
• Recognize professional risks, legal responsibilities, and liabilities involved.
• Produce precise, thorough, and clear supporting documents necessary for design implementation.
• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Develop Scope of Work and technical specifications for civil construction subcontracting.
• Create technical documentation for civil material procurement.
• Assist and mentor junior civil engineering team members as required.
• Communicate effectively within the civil engineering team and with project stakeholders, including clients.
• Detect and resolve issues or problems, seeking assistance as appropriate.
• Perform discipline-specific engineering duties, including scope change reporting, contributing to studies and analyses, supporting detailed design and documentation, and assisting procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Understand cost, schedule, and scope requirements, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Coordinate design reviews and approvals, ensuring alignment with client specifications and requirements.

Education and Accreditation

• Possess a full-time Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Obtain or commit to acquiring Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) engineering accreditation within the probation period if not already accredited.

Technical and Industry Experience

• Experience in civil and structural engineering within onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
• Background in multi-disciplinary engineering projects and teams within the oil and gas or similar sectors.
• Strong knowledge of discipline-related design and engineering with broad experience across multiple areas.
• Expertise in civil structural design for infrastructure such as bridges, pumping stations, low-rise buildings, and basements.
