Role Summary
The Maules Creek Mine, Whitehaven Coal's largest operation in New South Wales, is currently seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians to join their Coal Preparation and Handling Plant team. The mine is located 40 minutes away from Gunnedah, NSW, a rural town celebrated for its agriculture, community spirit, and rich cultural heritage.
Work Schedule and Location Benefits
- Monday to Friday roster ensuring residents return home nightly
- Provided transportation to site for all shifts

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance activities on fixed plant equipment
- Uphold and demonstrate safe work practices, actively managing risks and reporting hazards
- Execute assigned work orders with minimal oversight
- Perform equipment breakdown remedies safely and efficiently
- Contribute to fostering a positive and cohesive organizational culture
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Experience within mining or heavy industry environments performing maintenance on fixed plant machinery
- Possession of relevant trade qualifications including a NSW Certificate of Proficiency
- Preparedness to relocate to the region with assistance provided
