Overview

This opportunity is for a senior finance leader to join a well-established, purpose-led organisation in Cork. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO as a trusted advisor on strategy and the organisation’s future direction.
  • Take full ownership of the finance function, maintaining strong control, reporting quality, and financial discipline.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial planning activities to support the business agenda.
  • Provide commercial analysis, constructive challenge, and clear insight to aid decision-making.
  • Ensure finance activity is aligned with governance and compliance requirements in a regulated setting.
  • Manage relationships with external parties such as auditors and regulators.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including growth plans and integration-related work.
  • Oversee treasury management, capital planning, and financial risk oversight.
  • Strengthen business performance through meaningful analysis and transparent reporting.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a capable and high-performing finance team.

Candidate Profile

  • Professionally qualified in finance, such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive background in a senior finance leadership position.
  • Strong strategic and commercial judgement, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in a governance-led or compliance-focused environment.
  • Proven contribution to strategic change initiatives such as expansion, transformation, or integration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A collaborative, energetic, and supportive leadership approach.
  • High standards of personal integrity and professional conduct.
