Role Summary
The Category Manager for Food & Beverage is pivotal in steering one of Cinemark's strategic product categories. This role focuses on executing the business strategy to sustain category expansion while ensuring profitability. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing category strategies, scrutinizing sales trends at both global and store levels, and fostering strong partnerships internally and externally. Leading cross-functional initiatives and maintaining a dynamic procurement vision are also essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement effective category strategies aligned with Cinemark's broader business objectives to drive value and growth.
- Maintain highest ethical standards and integrity in dealings with suppliers, ensuring accountability and fostering long-term collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate new products to identify areas for category growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for successful launch of new products and processes.
- Analyze category performance data and develop solutions for products or locations with underperformance issues.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key vendors and partners.
- Work alongside leadership to set both short-term and long-term business goals.
- Lead the advancement and execution of the company's procurement vision and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with operations teams to maintain modern selling strategies and innovative techniques.
- Engage in continuous professional development through reading, networking, and training sessions.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in category management with a strong focus on food and beverage sectors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence diverse groups and gain support for viewpoints.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in leveraging data and metrics to support business cases.
- Proven success in collaborative cross-functional roles across organizational levels and external partners.
- Capability to operate both strategically and tactically within a dynamic business environment.
- Demonstrated leadership expertise in managing teams and talent development.
- Innovative problem-solving aptitude.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalents.
- Willingness and availability to travel up to 8% of the time.
