Role Summary
The Cash Application & Accounts Receivable Reporting Executive is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of customer payments and the management of accounts receivable records. This role involves handling remittance advices, resolving payment discrepancies, and contributing to the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently process incoming bank receipts, cheques, cash transfers, and MyBill payments within set timelines.
- Allocate payments, credit notes, and necessary adjustments to corresponding customer invoices.
- Manage the receipt and processing of customer remittance advices.
- Promptly investigate and resolve payment-related inquiries.
- Address unallocated or unapplied receipts by liaising with customers as needed.
- Handle processing of direct debits, refunds, and intercompany payment batches as required.
- Manage billing, direct debit, cheque, and bank transactions interfaced with the ERP system.
- Oversee dependencies between billing interfaces and banking systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with international third-party operations to resolve payment or billing issues when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years' experience working within the logistics sector is preferred.
- At least one year of hands-on functional experience in a similar financial or credit administrative role.
- Prior exposure or experience in credit administration is essential.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to customer service and client satisfaction.
