Job description

Role Overview

Sensori is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our Public Private Partnership (PPP) Schools team based in Kells, County Meath, Ireland. This full-time temporary position is offered under a 6-month specified purpose contract and involves shift work, including evenings and weekends. Successful candidates will undergo Garda Vetting prior to starting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Facility Management (FM) Site Manager in overseeing daily operations across a portfolio of buildings, including supervising facilities staff as needed.
  • Promote a culture of excellent customer service, developing strong relationships with the client and team members.
  • Evaluate existing services, specifications, procedures, productivity, and quality control to improve resource efficiency.
  • Proactively identify building faults, promptly implement temporary fixes or safety measures, and coordinate with contractors as required.
  • Manage subcontractors on-site ensuring compliance with company contractor management policies.
  • Participate in regular site inspections to verify service quality and identify non-compliance areas.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, including acting as Fire Warden and/or First Aider when necessary.
  • Respond promptly to client requests, maintaining a strong customer service focus.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with shift patterns that may involve early openings, late closings, or weekend work based on client needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of extensive maintenance experience in a busy environment.
  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician with diverse technical skills is highly advantageous.
  • Background in Facilities Management and/or Engineering environments preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding activities including covering extensive site areas and undertaking significant manual handling.
  • Proven track record in a related role with similar responsibilities.
