About the company

InProduction is a major supplier of temporary seating, staging, structures, and scenic production services for the U.S. live events market. It supports event teams across the full venue transformation workflow, including design and fabrication, delivery and installation, on-site coordination, and breakdown. Its work covers a wide mix of event types such as golf, motorsports, music festivals, other sports and entertainment events, and corporate gatherings.

The organization is supported by ZMC, a private equity firm focused on investments in media and communications businesses. ZMC was established in 2001 and works with management teams to help create operational value through targeted investments, sector knowledge, and active partnership.

Role overview

The company is hiring a CAD Designer to develop accurate design drawings for high-profile events across the country. These drawings will be used by sales teams, shared with customers and building officials, and referenced by field technicians. The role suits someone who wants to build a long-term future with a fast-growing business.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teammates to develop practical design solutions within project constraints.
  • Take part in design evaluations and support work tied to site surveys.
  • Create drawings and specifications that meet code requirements.
  • Track project timelines closely so deadlines are consistently met.
  • Review and validate drawings across different design and modeling software formats.
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing-ready drawings.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional AutoCAD experience is required.
  • An associate degree or AutoCAD certification is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to the entertainment or events sector, such as live events, stadiums, sporting venues, or theater, is preferred.
  • On-site attendance at the office is required.
  • Applicants should have a strong foundation in AutoCAD and the ability to create detailed technical drawings.
  • Experience with dynamic blocks and the ability to build on an existing drawing library is needed.
  • Knowledge of 3D tools, including 3DS Max, is an advantage.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is important.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office, Windows, and Adobe Creative Suite, are expected.
  • A background check and drug screening are part of the hiring process.

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this role is $22 to $26 per hour, depending on experience.
