Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Cable Jointer to join our Operations, People, and Safety team located in Lismore. This role involves the construction, installation, connection, maintenance, and repair of both high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) distribution networks, with special emphasis on underground network components.
Candidate Profile
- Proficient application of trade skills in an energy distribution setting.
- Experienced in operating during both scheduled and emergency events.
- Engages in audit participation and follows safety protocols rigorously.
- Understands system switching, access procedures, and appropriate tool and equipment use.
- Adheres to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards consistently.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaborative skills.
- Effectively communicates and coordinates with stakeholders and customers.
- Possesses adequate computer literacy relevant to the position.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing including electives covering installation, maintenance, fault finding, switching, and repair; or equivalent experience or qualifications.
- Valid driver's license.
- NSW Construction Induction (WorkCover) Certificate.
- Fulfillment and continued compliance with all relevant regulatory, industry, and business standards.
