This opportunity is part of the EMEA region and is based in Port Louis, Mauritius. The position is a full-time, permanent role available immediately.
Job Purpose
The Buyer will manage procurement activities within the Purchasing Center and help ensure that goods, materials, supplies, and services are sourced in the organization’s best interest. The role focuses on running procurement processes accurately, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting supplier and system-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase-to-pay cycle while following global, regional, and local policies and procedures.
- Identify internal needs and process non-catalogue purchasing requests.
- Promote and encourage the use of procurement catalogues across the business.
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with, and where needed oversee, purchasing support staff.
- Assist users with e-purchasing tools, including first-line support and catalogue administration.
- Handle second-line issue resolution and support master data maintenance.
- Work with the Senior Buyer to improve procurement processes continuously.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, data entry, customer service, or a similar support function is expected.
- Strong command of English and French at B2 level or above is mandatory.
- Additional language abilities will be considered an advantage.
- The ideal candidate should be proactive, accountable, and attentive to detail.
- Good computer skills are necessary.
- A collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach are important.
