Job description

Role Overview

The Business Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in efficiently managing the Business Office team and ensuring all financial responsibilities and reports are completed punctually.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist and support the Facility Administrator in daily tasks.
  • Guide and provide assistance to Business Office personnel.
  • Handle financial accounting and reporting on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual schedules.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met consistently.
  • Verify patient benefits and oversee collection of copayments to assure revenue flow.
  • Process invoices accurately and timely while maintaining accounts payable records.
  • Manage accounts receivable and delegate related administrative duties as required.
  • Maintain sufficient stock of office supplies, forms, and printed materials, replenishing as necessary.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to secure cleaning and maintenance contracts.
  • Oversee maintenance and support of information systems, hardware, and software in collaboration with Corporate IT.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain non-clinical office equipment including telephone systems, alarms, copiers, fax machines, and postage tools.
  • Participate in relevant workshops and seminars to improve skills.
  • Engage in Performance Improvement initiatives targeting safety, medical records, patient and physician satisfaction, documentation accuracy, OSHA compliance, and risk management.
  • Foster a professional and welcoming work environment for staff, surgeons, patients, and their families.
  • Assist with credentialing processes as needed.
