Business Development Manager - Limerick/Galway Region

About the Position and Team

The Regional UK and Ireland team at Deliveroo drives business performance across all four nations, including areas from Brighton and London to Belfast. This role focuses on the Limerick and Galway region, where you will be instrumental in signing up top restaurant partners and expanding Deliveroo's presence locally. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you'll be part of a growing, commercially focused team committed to accelerating Deliveroo's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and secure new restaurant partners throughout the Limerick and Galway areas, developing an expert understanding of local dining trends and sought-after establishments.
• Engage with restaurants via in-person visits, phone calls, emails, and social media to showcase Deliveroo's technology solutions.
• Manage the onboarding process ensuring it is swift and efficient, setting restaurants up for early success within their first eight weeks.
• Taste and evaluate a range of high-quality food offerings to gain insight and strengthen partnerships.
• Participate in relevant food and restaurant community events and meet-ups.

Performance Metrics

• Number of new restaurants signed each month.
• Success and performance metrics of signed restaurants within their initial three months.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Proven ability to hunt for and secure new business opportunities across Ireland.
• Strong negotiation skills capable of crafting mutually beneficial agreements with restaurant partners.
• Understanding of the commercial dynamics affecting food delivery operations from both the restaurant and platform perspectives.
• Excellent communicator adept at engaging stakeholders face-to-face, via phone, and through email.
• Comfortable demonstrating product knowledge and explaining industry concepts clearly.
• Highly motivated, responsible, and target-driven with a proactive work ethic.
• Passion for food and restaurants with a tenacious approach to business development.

Additional Requirements and Conditions

A valid driver's licence and access to a car are essential, as this role requires frequent travel around Limerick and Galway. This position is field-based and involves substantial travel and face-to-face interaction rather than office desk work.
