Position Overview

This role supports the upkeep, repair, and day-to-day functionality of the facility, related equipment, and surrounding grounds. The position involves both planned maintenance and urgent fixes, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and keeping operations running smoothly. The work is carried out as part of a team and may include additional tasks as needed to support the business.

Schedule and Pay

  • Workdays: Monday through Friday
  • Shift timing: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
  • Starting wage: $20 per hour

Role Summary

The building maintenance associate helps the Facilities Manager or Supervisor with repairs, replacements, adjustments, and modifications across the facility, equipment, and outside grounds. The work may be scheduled in advance or needed during emergencies, and all tasks must be completed while following safety rules and quality expectations. The role also contributes to maintaining efficient movement of product through the production environment.

Key Duties

  • Check the work plan for the day, complete safety inspections on equipment, gather needed supplies, and get ready for operations.
  • Carry out general maintenance and upkeep for the building and grounds.
  • Support the Facilities Manager and other team members with installations, adjustments, replacements, and other maintenance assignments.
  • Help keep the warehouse clean by operating power equipment to sweep and wash floors and aisles, handling spills, and removing trash and debris.
  • Complete scheduled custodial tasks and support projects such as painting, scraping, pressure washing, and maintaining the cardboard baler.
  • Handle minor maintenance work such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, cleaning carpets and duct work, and setting up conference rooms.
  • Assist warehouse staff, outside contractors, and maintenance teams with special projects as directed.
  • At the end of the shift, secure equipment, complete housekeeping tasks, and finish all required paperwork.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Candidates should have 6 to 12 months of building maintenance experience in a warehouse and/or production setting.

Additional Information

This position may involve both emergency response and routine maintenance work, and the selected candidate must consistently observe all safety regulations. Teamwork is an important part of the role, and duties may expand based on operational needs.
