Job description
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operational, financial, commercial, and administrative functions of the branch while ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and organizational policies.
Job Context and Challenges
- Ensuring flawless execution across diverse and frequently changing processes with 100% accuracy, despite limited system validations and unpredictable surges in workload.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information in an environment with limited infrastructure support.
- Efficiently operating over 15 different systems amidst server bandwidth and connectivity constraints.
- Managing sales behavior effectively to ensure full compliance with internal and external guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Execute all financial processes including receipting, banking, and reconciliation with complete accuracy and within deadlines.
- Detect counterfeit currency and manage cheque dishonor cases to minimize operational losses.
- Ensure secure custody of office keys, cash boxes, and safes.
- Reconcile branch assets timely and verify authenticity of petty cash expenditures.
- Identify and register local vendors per procurement policies and handle vendor payments timely, promoting NEFT payments where possible.
- Coordinate branch setup activities liaising with IT, infrastructure, banking, and other support functions.
- Manage advisor licensing processes, sales support activities, and coordinate with training institutes for onboarding new insurance agents.
- Remit professional and contract taxes on time and represent the company at labor and consumer court hearings.
- Ensure statutory displays and 100% compliance with AML guidelines, reporting suspicious activities.
- Handle advisor commission processes, facilitate NEFT on commission payments, and resolve related queries.
- Provide HR, IT, and administrative support including employee joining/exits, IT issue escalation, and maintenance of branch security and housekeeping.
- Oversee underwriting and new business application processing with full accuracy and expedite document delivery in collaboration with head office.
- Deliver exemplary customer service by addressing queries promptly, processing claims and fund-related requests accurately and ensuring first-contact resolution.
- Contribute actively towards revenue growth and cost conservation initiatives, including promoting digital payment channels and encouraging upselling of riders and policy enhancements.
- Monitor and manage fraudulent claims and policies, supporting compliance and investigation activities.
- Coordinate sales promotion material inventory and assist in reward and recognition programs for the sales force.
Additional Information
- Maintain control over marketing collateral and assist in managing pool laptops for agency managers.
- Support branch leadership in recruitment, training coordination, and follow-ups on new business applications.
- Participate actively in data cleansing activities related to customer information to improve contactability and compliance.
- Implement business continuity procedures and cost-saving measures diligently.
- Ensure timely office opening and closing as per organizational standards.
