Role Summary

What You Will Do

  • Work on banking and insurance programmes involving customer journeys, process design, and business value realization.
  • Develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to help guide decisions.
  • Create target operating models, blueprints, and roadmaps, and support end-to-end programme design and delivery across people, process, technology, and business goals.
  • Use presentation, advanced Excel, and Power BI skills to analyze and communicate insights.
  • Map and reengineer processes, including building clear process maps.
  • Manage programme planning, schedules, resource allocation, risk, budget tracking, and status reporting within governance and risk controls.

  • Apply both waterfall and agile delivery approaches and help bridge the gap between business and technology teams.
  • Define and prioritize technical requirements, support scoping and planning, and maintain agile artefacts such as backlogs, epics, features, and user stories.
  • Take part in PI planning, big-room planning, and sprint planning with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a link between technical delivery teams and business product owners, working closely with analysts, architects, designers, developers, and quality engineers in an iterative, design-thinking-led environment.
  • Stay informed about current technologies, regulatory changes, and leading practices in financial services and insurance.
  • Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
  • Work collaboratively as a strong team player.

Candidate Profile

  • You should be analytical, curious, creative, and comfortable solving complex problems.
  • You need strong planning and organizational capability.
  • You should have a proven track record of delivering large, complex business and technology programmes.
  • You must be willing to travel as required for client work.
  • You should be able to work independently and handle ambiguity well.
  • You should understand modern technologies, data, AI, and digital trends, and be able to spot opportunities to use them.
  • You should think strategically and focus on value creation.
  • You should have a strong delivery mindset.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM or a related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or Agile/Scrum are an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technology-oriented role within management consulting, with significant exposure to Financial Services and Insurance.

Additional Domain Knowledge

  • Understanding of sector drivers, regulatory requirements, business challenges, and market trends is important.
  • Banking knowledge should include lending, payments, commercial and retail banking, onboarding/KYC, AML/fraud, financial crime, business banking, and capital markets.
  • Insurance knowledge should include P&C, reinsurance, risk management, life or general insurance, underwriting, and claims.
  • General financial management and financial analysis experience is desirable, including exposure to commercial and/or not-for-profit settings.
  • Strong Excel capability is needed to compile, analyze, and manipulate data for reporting.
  • You should be able to bring innovation to both sales and delivery.
