We are excited to invite an Automation and AI Developer to join our expanding Digital Technology & Innovation team in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

This role is hands-on and technically focused, involving the creation and maintenance of cutting-edge automation and AI applications throughout the business. The position ranges from traditional Robotic Process Automation (RPA) implementations to advanced AI agent workflows, offering the chance to lead projects from initial concept through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in designing and developing Kepak's AI Assistant platform, now in the design phase.
• Create and deploy intelligent AI agents capable of reasoning with business data and integrating with core systems such as D365, SharePoint, MuleSoft APIs, and MCPs.
• Use Microsoft Fabric technologies—including Lakehouses, data pipelines, and OneLake data access patterns—to support AI-driven features like the AI Assistant.
• Analyze business processes across functions including finance, operations, HR, and supply chain to identify opportunities for robotic process automation.
• Design, build, test, and implement automation solutions using relevant RPA and workflow platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or others.
• Develop compelling business cases for automation projects quantifying benefits like time savings, error reduction, and return on investment.
• Engage effectively with business stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted and accessible contact for AI and automation-related matters.
• Keep abreast of developments in Microsoft AI technologies, including Azure AI Foundry and agentic AI approaches such as Anthropic Claude, and apply insights to team initiatives.
• Critically assess new AI tools and frameworks, providing evidence-based recommendations suited to Kepak’s context.
• Contribute to peer review processes and uphold quality standards in AI solution design and automation coding.

Requirements

• A relevant third-level qualification or equivalent practical experience in software engineering, automation, or artificial intelligence.
• At least three years of hands-on experience with an enterprise automation or AI development platform (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, Claude), focusing on delivery depth.
• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, including document ingestion, embedding, vector search, and large language model (LLM) response generation.
• Experience with vector databases or semantic search technologies like Azure AI Search.
• Proficient programming skills in Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript sufficient to build and maintain AI and agentic workflow integrations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable facilitating workshops and explaining technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
