Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Audit professional focusing on the Cayman Islands market to join our expanding team. This 100% remote role offers the freedom to work from anywhere while playing a critical part in broadening our client base and enhancing service delivery, contributing directly to our firm’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations.
• Perform NAV calculations and gain a deep understanding of various fund structures.
• Handle diverse financial instruments applying fair value accounting standards.
• Evaluate and test internal controls and risks, emphasizing SOX compliance.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, with a focus on offshore accounting contexts.
• Prepare and review detailed audit documentation including workpapers and annotations.
• Engage proactively with clients, fostering strong, clear communication and relationships.
• Keep abreast of evolving industry regulations and changes to accounting standards.
• Participate in team collaborations to refine audit approaches and share best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in audit or related roles within accounting and finance.
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial statements, NAV calculations, and fund structure knowledge.
• Strong familiarity with financial instruments, fair value accounting, and investments at Level I, II, III.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
• Experience in risk assessment, internal controls testing, with SOX familiarity highly valued.
• Solid command of GAAP and IFRS, particularly for offshore financial scenarios.
• Proficient in audit documentation practices.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and within a remote team environment.
• Sharp analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Background in hedge funds, private equity, or investment funds considered a significant advantage.
