Role Overview

The Operations Data Sourcing team acts as the central authority for governing and strategizing data subscriptions, overseeing more than 150 contracts covering market data, compliance, portfolio management, and specialized analytical tools. This team consists of one full-time employee and three contractors managing core responsibilities and projects relevant to data sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the evolution of the data landscape by carrying out user surveys before contract renewals, compiling business use cases, analyzing market and data trends, and ensuring data contracts are AI-compatible where possible.
  • Lead prioritization efforts for Single Sign-On (SSO) integration in collaboration with Technology teams for data subscriptions.
  • Coordinate centralized training programs for platforms such as Euromonitor and Eurasia.
  • Manage and enhance automation workflows, including employee offboarding processes, Bloomberg Exchange optimization, and checks for Expert Network exceptions.
  • Drive efficiency pipeline projects slated for 2026, such as application-level automation of Bloomberg data consumption reporting, second-phase subscription budget automation, and enhancements to the Enterprise Subscription Portal.
  • Collaborate with AI-Innovation teams to develop end-to-end automation covering contract management, user allocations, payments, and AI-assisted review of data contracts under $100k.
  • Support AI4IG projects including the onboarding of AI data subscriptions and implementation of AI functionalities for existing contracts consistent with the AI strategy.
  • Deploy AI enhancements with vendors providing AI connectivity at no extra cost, including Third Bridge Forum MCP and PitchBook MCP.
  • Assist with the annual data subscription budget, coordinating and reviewing approximately $28 million in enterprise subscription expenditures.
  • Produce monthly reports addressing key metrics such as Bloomberg Data License consumption, cost savings, and compliance refresh statuses.
  • Conduct year-end reconciliations comparing budgeted versus actual subscription spending.
  • Ensure clear financial transparency in cost allocation by generating quarterly attribution files for Finance based on vendor usage data.
  • Manage onboarding of new contracts such as OEM FlexTrade, Bloomberg SAPI, Bloomberg TPPA, and other specialized data services.
  • Coordinate vendor review processes scheduled for 2026 and maintain oversight of decentralized contract ecosystems, balancing return on investment for less common contracts.
  • Support the integration of additional expert network vendors like Guidepoint and Dialectica.
  • Prepare concise compliance summaries highlighting terms of use for roughly 40 contracts.

Candidate Expectations

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Science, Quantitative disciplines, Engineering, Computing, Business Administration, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with market data services and insight into integrated workflow and process streams is beneficial.
  • Exhibit strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills with a process-driven mindset, capable of rapid issue assessment and appropriate escalation.
  • Strategically oriented with sound understanding of data and investment businesses, capable of developing and executing robust operational processes.
  • Detail-focused and results-driven with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Interest or experience in automation, dashboard creation, and workflow improvement tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, and Power Automate is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of prominent data providers like Bloomberg, S&P, FactSet, Refinitiv, and MSCI is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams and handle diverse stakeholders efficiently.
