Role overview
This role sits within procurement operations and focuses on supporting sourcing and category management work for technology and related business areas. The position calls for a mix of analysis, supplier management, contract support, negotiation, compliance, and stakeholder coordination across local, regional, and global teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support category management outcomes by gathering and analyzing data such as product and service insights, historical spend, total procurement opportunity data, line-of-business inputs, and market intelligence, while working with procurement operations, SRM, and onshore partners to build findings and recommendations.
- Contribute to supplier management activities including analysis of gold and diverse supplier spend, supplier segmentation, preferencing, capability assessment, and rationalization.
- Assist with commercial work by helping negotiate savings to P&L and EPD-enabled spend.
- Support contract management efforts, including improvements to MSA and SLA terms.
- Help ensure compliance with ADA, Secondary Data Use Restrictions, and purchasing channel requirements.
- Build productive working relationships with senior leaders in technology sourcing and other business lines to understand business drivers and third-party engagement needs.
- Make sure third-party vendor relationships and channel usage align with strategic priorities.
- Lead the planning and delivery of sourcing strategies for major sourcing events and transactions.
- Identify supplier candidates that are capable of meeting the organization’s requirements.
- Perform detailed supplier due diligence when needed.
- Work with line-of-business clients and other stakeholders to define sourcing requirements.
- Design and run competitive sourcing processes to secure the best value from suppliers.
- Assess competitive supplier proposals and present sourcing options aligned to business needs.
- Lead negotiations on commercial terms and guide the contract drafting, approval, and execution process.
- Follow all policy and procedural standards throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
- Collaborate with global teams and clients on sourcing projects at local, regional, and global levels.
- Work closely with legal, risk, third-party oversight, and finance partners to complete complex negotiations and initiatives successfully.
- Ensure selected vendors remain aligned with SLA commitments through coordination with internal partners and client teams.
- Carry out detailed cost and spend analysis to develop target savings initiatives through multiple cost-reduction methods.
Requirements
- Strong background in technology sourcing, especially with global and regional third-party providers.
- Deep knowledge of sourcing, contracting, and procurement practices.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, along with strong interpersonal ability and sound judgment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver complex assignments or negotiations within tight timelines.
- Capability to work effectively with management at all levels across all regions of the bank.
