Job description

Role Overview

This position is focused on direct customer engagement and corporate salary account acquisition for an assigned branch. The incumbent will explain and sell banking products, act as the customer-bank interface, and help ensure a strong service experience. The role also supports the Sales Manager with catchment analysis, customer feedback, and identifying conversion opportunities, while contributing to customer acquisition, relationship depth, and long-term value creation for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new-to-bank corporate salary customers within the assigned segment and generate references from the designated catchment area.
  • Build a strong portfolio of corporate salary accounts by maintaining quality across product mix, customer segments, and account composition.
  • Drive proactive registration, account activation, and three-month funding so customers qualify for incentive-related criteria.
  • Promote multiple banking products at the time of account opening, including mobile banking, net banking registration, and RD/FD activation.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly acquisition targets by understanding customers’ transaction banking requirements.
  • Support the Sales Manager in catchment mapping and area scoping activities.
  • Share timely inputs with the Sales Manager / Relationship Manager on business opportunities and customer requirements.
  • Follow all selling standards, account opening procedures, and KYC requirements without deviation.
  • Maintain full compliance with internal policies and applicable external regulations.
  • Source accounts in line with the bank’s quality standards and policy framework.
  • Prepare customer wish lists through promotional initiatives.
  • Create leads for family accounts and other cross-sell products.
  • Address customer queries quickly and proactively.
  • Stay aware of the market and keep a clear understanding of customer expectations and needs.
  • Work with branch teams and other functions to deliver suitable products and services with a customer-first approach.

Education

A graduate degree in any discipline is required.

Experience

At least 1 year of field sales experience is needed. Strong communication skills are also expected.

This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and is a full-time onsite position.
