About NADG

NADG is a privately held, fully integrated real estate platform with more than $6 billion in assets under management. The firm has participated in the acquisition, development, and redevelopment of more than 250 projects across the United States and Canada, representing over 35 million square feet.

The company has supported more than $2 billion in real estate private equity funds and investment vehicles. Alongside its own funds, NADG partners with leading institutional investors in North America and currently oversees more than $2 billion of institutional capital.

NADG’s business is organized around three main real estate strategies: Retail, Residential, and Mixed-Use. The company employs more than 215 professionals and maintains an active footprint across multiple markets in the United States and Canada.

The role is based in Toronto, Ontario, at Don Mills and Eglinton, and requires in-office presence five days per week.

Position Overview

NADG is looking for a resourceful and motivated Associate to join its Investments group in the new Toronto office. This is a highly involved position with broad exposure to acquisitions, development opportunities, dispositions, and asset management across the firm’s investment platforms. The successful candidate will stay engaged across the investment lifecycle to help drive operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed and dynamic financial models in Excel and ARGUS, and perform additional analysis to assess new opportunities as well as current holdings.
  • Carry out in-depth due diligence for prospective acquisitions, including review of financials, leases, contracts, and coordination with external advisors and consultants.
  • Help prepare and review internal and external investment memoranda, as well as fundraising materials, with appropriate oversight.
  • Collaborate with teams across leasing, development, construction, property management, finance, and capital formation to shape and implement business plans and value-creation initiatives.
  • Track asset results against underwriting assumptions, monitor leasing, development, and operating milestones, and provide periodic updates to internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Support the preparation and review of investor reporting packages.
  • Follow market activity, observe recent transactions, and summarize trends and findings to support investment decision-making.
  • Manage the annual property budgeting process and ensure forecasts remain aligned with strategic plans.
  • Coordinate and review semi-annual and annual appraisals for selected portfolio assets.
  • Serve as an initial reviewer of analyst deliverables and help maintain quality standards while supporting mentorship and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in real estate private equity, asset management, development, brokerage, lending, or a similar area, with growing responsibility over time.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capability, with the ability to independently assess investments and clearly explain assumptions and outputs to senior leaders.
  • Hands-on transactional experience and a solid understanding of the transaction process and due diligence workflow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-focused approach, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Substantial experience in at least one of NADG’s core asset classes, specifically retail or multifamily.
  • Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise is preferred.
