Role Purpose
The strategy function at VaynerMedia offers a key lens into business dynamics. It is a people-first, culture-led discipline that explores audience insights, media patterns, cultural change, and technology developments to shape strategic guidance. The team is helping redefine how clients use consumer and cultural intelligence, build brand strategy, and plan for attention in a modern environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface evidence-based insights and organize them into a clear narrative that informs and persuades clients.
- Translate the consumer perspective using qualitative research, cultural analysis, and thoughtful interpretation of quantitative findings.
- Apply analytical and strategic thinking to address client business challenges.
- Keep up with the competitive environment, including developments in data, human-centered research, and scalable qualitative insight approaches.
- Create and refine new methods for cultural analysis and cultural anthropology offerings that help VaynerMedia move quickly and deliver cultural relevance for clients.
- Assess creative ideas and communication opportunities, then provide practical feedback and recommendations where needed.
- Lead brainstorms, workshops, and ideation sessions that encourage originality and innovation.
- Guide the development of client presentations and other key communications so they are clear, persuasive, and stakeholder-ready.
- Prepare creative briefs for ideation work and support workshops and brainstorms with the creative team.
Experience and Knowledge Required
- 5 to 7 years of experience building brands strategically at a top agency, with exposure to Fortune 500 clients.
- Strong understanding of how business strategy, consumer insights, and digital behavior connect to form meaningful ideas.
- Ability to work with the right tools to assess qualitative research, quantitative research, and behavioral data, then derive insights from them.
- Proven collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and functions.
- Well-developed strategic judgment with a balanced analytical and creative approach to integrated marketing planning.
- Understanding of multiple communication channels and how they support brand and content marketing.
- Self-driven mindset with initiative to identify opportunities, determine a path forward, and act quickly.

Compensation
