Role overview

This position supports the PGA TOUR’s community and public engagement efforts by helping strengthen public awareness of the TOUR’s charitable and economic value in the communities where its events are held. The role works to encourage fans, partners, civic and community leaders, and media to recognize, support, and promote the TOUR’s impact in host locations.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the creation and rollout of year-round communication plans, campaigns, and messaging that explain the TOUR’s charitable purpose, priorities, and partnerships.
  • Work with tournament and community impact teams to identify, track, and assess engagement levels and public understanding of charitable and social responsibility goals.
  • Partner across departments such as Events, Communications, Player Relations, and Corporate Partnerships to surface stories and initiatives that resonate with broader and more varied audiences.
  • Help build and launch tools and campaigns that reinforce and expand the TOUR’s charitable identity, giving efforts, and partnership activity.
  • Edit, review, organize, and refresh content related to charitable and corporate social responsibility work.
  • Handle communication with fans and nonprofit organizations.
  • Research community needs, priorities, and local activity on an ongoing basis to support the TOUR’s community impact strategy.
  • Support tournament leadership for important stakeholder meetings, site visits, and selected community events, including preparing talking points and related materials.
  • Take part in evaluating charitable requests and event sponsorship submissions.
  • Provide administrative help to the Community & Public Engagement team, including travel coordination, expense support, and calendar management.
  • Complete special assignments and additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

This role calls for a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or a closely related area, along with at least one year of professional experience. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential, as is the ability to stay organized, work efficiently across multiple priorities, and manage communication between teams. Candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Office, working independently, collaborating with others, and taking initiative with curiosity and drive.
