Role Overview
The Associate Buyer supports the LAUREN Wholesale Buying & Planning Team in optimizing the commercial assortment across channels for the EMEA region, aligning with financial goals and brand strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Select, price, and forecast merchandise lines effectively.
- Update and maintain product lines within internal IT systems.
- Manage and monitor sample order placements.
- Conduct weekly tracking of business performance metrics.
- Evaluate competitive and market benchmarks to inform buying decisions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on assortments during line opening meetings.
- Collaborate on defining seasonal assortment requirements and communicate with Global Merchandising teams.
- Contribute to enhancing brand positioning quantitatively and qualitatively.
- Develop seasonal product strategies that align with sales targets, SKU counts, productivity, and trends.
- Engage in or initiate projects aimed at business development.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of retail mathematics.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities across teams.
- Decision-making focused on future opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Creative and solution-focused approach to business challenges and directives.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly organized and pays keen attention to detail.
- Experience covering four seasonal buying cycles.
