Role overview

As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager on day-to-day operations, team coordination, sales performance, and the overall running of the boutique. • Help spot local market opportunities and contribute to attracting new clientele.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to premium CRM practices.

Store operations

  • Work with headquarters teams on operational and strategic store matters to help maintain strong execution standards.
  • Assist with stock control alongside the stock team and ensure purchasing needs are communicated clearly to the Procurement Officer.
  • Help improve in-store service workflows, including repairs, warranties, returns, and exchanges, so that processes remain efficient and customer-friendly.

Team leadership

  • Create and sustain a positive, cooperative working atmosphere that reflects Maison Polène’s identity.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with the Retail Excellence and Training Manager to address them.
  • Support workforce planning and scheduling so all key operational tasks are covered.
  • Take part in hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Help energize the team through motivating, challenging, and engaging daily briefings.

Requirements

The company is looking for an individual with at least 3 years of experience in luxury retail, including at least 1 year in a managerial role within a luxury store. Strong leadership, the ability to unite and inspire teams, and solid business development, performance management, and organizational skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, and an additional language is considered an advantage. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is also expected.
