Job description
Position Overview
The Assistant Engineer will contribute to day-to-day engineering and operational work by handling technical review, data processing, project support, and design-related tasks. This role calls for a solid grounding in engineering fundamentals, especially in petroleum-focused operations, along with the ability to coordinate smoothly with different teams to help deliver project and operational goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the scheduling, implementation, and tracking of engineering projects and related activities.
- Gather, review, and interpret engineering and operations data.
- Draft technical reports, slides, and supporting documents.
- Assist with engineering analyses, design assessments, and project reviews.
- Keep project files and engineering records organized and up to date.
- Use software applications to complete calculations, evaluate data, and produce reports.
- Work alongside engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical concerns.
- Contribute to process optimization and improved operational performance.
- Follow company procedures, standards, and safety expectations.
- Carry out additional engineering and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Graphic Design is required. Graphic Design is relevant for applicants who would support engineering documentation and visual presentation work.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience is expected.
- Prior internship exposure or participation in engineering projects will be viewed as an added advantage.
