Job description

Position Overview

The Assistant Engineer will contribute to day-to-day engineering and operational work by handling technical review, data processing, project support, and design-related tasks. This role calls for a solid grounding in engineering fundamentals, especially in petroleum-focused operations, along with the ability to coordinate smoothly with different teams to help deliver project and operational goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the scheduling, implementation, and tracking of engineering projects and related activities.
  • Gather, review, and interpret engineering and operations data.
  • Draft technical reports, slides, and supporting documents.
  • Assist with engineering analyses, design assessments, and project reviews.
  • Keep project files and engineering records organized and up to date.
  • Use software applications to complete calculations, evaluate data, and produce reports.
  • Work alongside engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical concerns.
  • Contribute to process optimization and improved operational performance.
  • Follow company procedures, standards, and safety expectations.
  • Carry out additional engineering and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Graphic Design is required. Graphic Design is relevant for applicants who would support engineering documentation and visual presentation work.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience is expected.
  • Prior internship exposure or participation in engineering projects will be viewed as an added advantage.

  • Applicants should have a sound grasp of petroleum engineering concepts.
  • The ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings is important.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are needed.
