Role Overview
The Assistant Chief Steward Manager will support the Chief Steward in leading stewarding activities and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and operational readiness across kitchen and back-of-house spaces.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Steward in overseeing all stewarding functions.
- Guide and monitor stewarding team members such as dishwashers, cleaners, and utility staff across different shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Track and enforce cleaning routines for equipment, floors, walls, and storage spaces.
- Check that dishwashing machines and related cleaning equipment are working properly and are maintained well.
- Help train staff on hygiene practices, safety requirements, and safe handling of chemicals.
- Oversee stock levels for cleaning materials, chemicals, and stewarding tools.
- Work with kitchen, banquet, and food & beverage teams to support service needs.
- Support the rollout and monitoring of waste management practices.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in stewarding or kitchen support, including 1 to 2 years in a supervisory position.
